Roseville,
Minn. Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, motorists will encounter
single lane traffic in each direction on Interstate 94 in St.
Paul.
Crews will move median barrier in order to begin painting the
north ends of the ten bridges spanning westbound I-94 between
Western and Fairview Avenues. Single lane restrictions should
be lifted before morning rush hour, and both directions of the
interstate will then be restricted to two lanes of traffic.
As the work begins over the westbound interstate this weekend,
traffic will be restricted to the two outside lanes of the westbound
roadway. All ramps to and from the interstate will remain open
until painting begins on the far north ends of the bridges in
mid-June.
Work is nearly complete on the eastbound interstate and all eastbound
lanes are expected to reopen this weekend.
Weather permitting, work should be completed before the July 4th
holiday weekend.
