TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED
AT HIGHWAY 3 AND DAKOTA COUNTY ROAD 46

(Roseville, Minn.) - - The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will begin installing a new traffic control signal system at Highway 3 and Dakota County Road 46 (160th Street) in Rosemount on Tuesday, April 8, 2003.

The work project includes installing advanced warning flashers on both sides of the intersection on Highway 3. These flashers will appear several hundred feet before the intersection and are designed to begin flashing shortly before the light at the intersection changes to red.

Motorists may encounter shoulder closures and possible lanes closures during construction of the new traffic control system.

Mn/DOT expects the project to be completed by May 23, 2003, weather permitting.

Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in the workzone and NEVER enter a roadway that is blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership.
