Roseville, Minn.—
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the
Highway 3 Vermillion River Bridge in Farmington on Monday, April
7, 2003.
The bridge
will close so construction crews can begin replacing the existing
Highway 3 Vermillion River Bridge.
Mn/DOT recommends
the following detour: 212th street (County Road 50) west to Pilot
Knob (County Road 31) to east 170th street (County Road 58).
Mn/DOT expects
the project to be reopened to traffic by August 1, 2003.
Two bridges
approximately 8 miles south of Farmington will also be replaced
this summer. That work will start later this summer, and no detour
is expected.
Mn/DOT reminds
motorists to SLOW DOWN in the workzone and NEVER enter a roadway
that has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in
a safety partnership.
For updated
traffic information in the Twin Cities metro area, dial 511 or log
