Roseville, Minn.—Weather permitting, preliminary work will begin
next week on Anoka County Road 52 (95th Avenue/Radisson Road)
west of Interstate 35W in Blaine. Motorists may encounter minor
delays as crews begin switching traffic to rebuild the road between
101st and 109th Avenues. This year's construction is a continuation
of a project that began last year. It will widen the roadway to
two lanes in each direction with a concrete center median.
During
the project, County Road 52 traffic will be restricted to a single
lane in each direction.
Work on a bus shelter at the new park and ride in the northwest
corner of County Road 52 and I-35W also begins next week.
The
project started last year and included reconstruction of the County
Road 52 bridge and interchange at Interstate 35W, construction
of a new 800 space park and ride lot and reconstruction of frontage
roads and a stretch of County Road 52 between the interstate and
101st Ave. Naples Street also was realigned on each side of I-35W.
Final
completion of the project is scheduled for August, 2003.
