(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
CLOSE eastbound and westbound Duluth St. at Highway 100 in GOLDEN
VALLEY beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2002.
This
closure is necessary as crews remove the old bridge that spans
Duluth St. Weather permitting, Duluth St. should re-open to pedestrian
and vehicle traffic by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5.
All
four of the ramps at the current interchange will be open and
utilized to accommodate the traffic detour.
Westbound
Duluth St. motorists, as well as northbound Highway 100 motorists
seeking westbound Duluth St., will be detoured north to 36th Ave.
via Highway 100 and will return to Duluth St. via southbound Highway
100.
Eastbound
Duluth St. motorists, as well as southbound Highway 100 motorists
seeking eastbound Duluth St., will be detoured south to Highway
55 via Highway 100 and will return to Duluth St. via northbound
Highway 100.
Pedestrians
are advised to seek other routes during the closure.

reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER
enter roadways that have been blocked with barriers or cones.
