(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
CLOSE northbound and southbound Highway 100 between County Road
152 (Brooklyn Blvd.) in BROOKLYN CENTER and County Road 81 in
ROBBINSDALE at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2002.
This
closure is necessary as crews demolish the Canadian Pacific-Santa
Fe railroad bridge that spans Highway 100 between the two points.
Crews began erecting the new bridge on June 29, when a similar
Highway 100 closure took effect.
Weather
permitting, Highway 100 will re-open by 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4,
2002.
Mn/DOT
suggests southbound motorists follow the posted detour during
the closure: County Road 152 (Brooklyn Blvd.) to County Road 10
(Bass Lake Rd.) to County Road 81. Northbound motorists will follow
County Road 81 to County Road 10 to County Road 152 (Brooklyn
Blvd.).
Mn/DOT
reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER
enter roadways that have been blocked with barriers or cones.
