(Roseville,
Minn.)--Motorists traveling to Minneapolis-St. Paul International
Airport on Saturday, July 20 and Saturday, July 27 should build
extra time into their schedules as crews repair Highway 5 near
Post Road.
A
portion of the roadway sank several inches after a storm sewer
culvert was installed beneath the roadway during a retention pond
project undertaken by the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC).
Crews
will begin repairing the westbound lanes at 5 a.m. Saturday, July
20 and should be completed with all westbound lanes by 3 p.m.
July 20. Although the ramp from Highway 5 to the airport will
NOT close, some of this work will affect traffic.
Several
lanes may be closed at one time as the lanes are lifted together.
Drivers are advised of alternating lane closures along the westbound
lanes of the roadway.
Crews
will begin repairing the eastbound lanes at 5 a.m. Saturday, July
27 and should be completed with all eastbound lanes by 3 p.m.
July 27.
