(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
begin resurfacing northbound and southbound Highway 77 (Cedar
Ave.) from the Minnesota River in BLOOMINGTON to Nokomis Parkway
in MINNEAPOLIS the week of July 8, 2002.
Crews
also will rehabilitate concrete pavement, repair and improve guardrails,
clean and repair drainage structures and install traffic control
loop detectors in this four-and-one-half mile portion of roadway.
Weather
permitting, the work is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 17.\
Crews
will work seven days a week until the project is completed.
All
lanes of Highway 77 between the Minnesota River and I-494 will
be open during rush hour but will be reduced to one lane northbound
and one lane southbound during non-rush hours.
Highway
77 between Nokomis Parkway and I-494 will be reduced to one northbound
lane and one southbound lane for the duration of the project.
Mn/DOT
urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them
to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that
has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in
