(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
begin resurfacing Highway 50 between Highway 52 and Highway 20
at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8.
Crews
also will replace and rehabilitate drainage culverts repair guardrails.
Highway
50 will be CLOSED to through traffic.
Weather
permitting, the project should be completed by August 9.
Motorists
wishing to use eastbound Highway 50 are advised to take the following
posted detour: southbound Highway 52 to eastbound Dakota County
Road 86 to eastbound Goodhue County Road 29 to northbound Trunk
Highway 20. Westbound Highway 50 motorists will follow southbound
Trunk Highway 20 to westbound Goodhue County Road 29 to westbound
Dakota County Road 86 to northbound Highway 52 during the closure.
Separate detour signage currently is in place for trucks.
Drivers
are also encouraged to make use of other trunk highways.
Mn/DOT
reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER
enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
