(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
CLOSE southbound Highway 100 between County Road 152 (Brooklyn
Blvd.) in BROOKLYN CENTER and County Road 81 in ROBBINSDALE at
8 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002.
Northbound
traffic will be reduced to a single lane through this workzone.
The
southbound closure and northbound lane reduction are necessary
as crews erect structural steel girders for the new Canadian Pacific-Santa
Fe railroad bridge that will span Highway 100.
Weather
permitting, all of this segment of Highway 100 will re-open by
6 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002.
Mn/DOT
suggests southbound motorists follow the posted detour during
the closure: County Road 152 (Brooklyn Blvd.) northbound to westbound
County Road 10 (Bass Lake Rd.) to eastbound County Road 81 in
order to return to southbound Highway 100.
Mn/DOT
reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER
enter roadways that have been blocked with barriers or cones.
