(Roseville, Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will begin overnight cleaning and maintenance operations inside the eastbound and westbound I-94 Lowry Tunnel in MINNEAPOLIS on June 24 and June 25, 2002.

Crews will clean both directions of the tunnel at the same time. Work will begin at
10 p.m. on June 24 and June 25 will re-open to traffic at 5 a.m. on June 25 and June 26.

Motorists are advised to follow the Hennepin Ave. or "Hazardous Vehicle" exits from eastbound and westbound I-94 to bypass the Lowry Hill Tunnel during the closure hours.

Mn/DOT urges motorists always to drive with caution and reminds them to SLOW DOWN in the work zone and NEVER enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership.
