(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
begin resurfacing northbound I-494 from Highway 55 in PLYMOUTH
to westbound I-94 in MAPLE GROVE at 10 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2002.
All
NORTHBOUND lanes of I-494, as well as entrance ramps and
loops to NORTHBOUND I-494, will be CLOSED between 10 p.m.
June 14 and 5 a.m. June 17, weather permitting, as crews resurface
and paint lane markings on the roadway.
Northbound
I-494 motorists are advised to use the following detour during
the northbound closure: eastbound Highway 55 to Northbound Highway
169 to westbound I-94/694.
A
similar closure occurred between May 31 and June 3 as southbound
I-494 was resurfaced between westbound I-94 and Highway 55. Mn/DOT
had planned to resurface northbound I-494 between Highway 55 and
westbound I-94 on June 7-10 but had to postpone because of rain
and thunderstorms.
