I-35W BRIDGE PAINTING CONTINUES;
SHORT-TERM RAMP CLOSURES ANNOUNCED

      

(Roseville, Minn.)--As the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) continues painting the bridges that span I-35W in BLOOMINGTON, from I-494 to Old Shakopee Road (98th St.) through July 1, several ramps will close temporarily during the life of the project. They are as follows:

  • 98th St. to northbound I-35W: Closed until June 21.
  • 82nd St. to northbound I-35W: Closed from 10 p.m. June 12 to 5 a.m. June 13, and from 10 p.m. June 14 to 5 a.m. June 17.
  • 94th St. to southbound I-35W: Closed from 10 p.m. June 16 to 5 a.m. June 22
  • 98th St. to southbound I-35W: Closed from 10 p.m. June 23 to 5 a.m. June 29

Detour signage currently is in place. Two lanes will remain open to traffic on northbound and southbound I-35W through July 1. Motorists will expect weekend lane closures to occur between I-494 and Old Shakopee Road (98th St.) between July 5 and August 12.

Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter roadways that have been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership.
