(Roseville,
Minn.)--The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will
begin painting the bridges that span I-35W in BLOOMINGTON, from
I-494 to Old Shakopee Road (98th St.), on Monday, June 10, 2002.
Work
will affect northbound traffic first, through June 24. Crews will
begin work on bridges facing southbound I-35W on June 17.
Two
lanes will be open to traffic on northbound and southbound I-35W
between June 17 and June 24. Work will continue on southbound
I-35W on June 24, while all lanes of northbound I-35W re-open
to traffic.
Several
crews will work around the clock through July 1, thereby completing
the major portions of the painting project. However, work will
continue through August 12, the scheduled completion date. Motorists
will expect weekend lane closures between I-494 and Old Shakopee
Road (98th St.), between July 5 and August 12.
Mn/DOT
reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter roadways
that have been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us
in a safety partnership.
