INTERCHANGE AT I-35W AND ANOKA COUNTY ROAD 52 IN BLAINE CLOSES JUNE 10 FOR RECONSTRUCTION

(Roseville, Minn.) - Reconstruction of the interchange of Interstate 35W and Anoka County Road 52 (also known as 95th Avenue) in Blaine begins Monday, June 10. The project also includes reconstruction of the Park and Ride lot in the northwest corner of the interchange and relocation of Naples Street farther from I-35W on both sides of the interstate. When completed, the enlarged parking area will accommodate 600 vehicles.

During the project, traffic will follow signed detours. Interstate 35W will be impacted at times during bridge reconstruction, but no morning or afternoon rush hour lane closures are expected. When the County Road 52 bridge is removed, interstate traffic will be routed up and down the ramps at County Road 52. Watch for further information on date and times.

Weather permitting, work is scheduled for completion by August, 2003.
