HIGHWAY 169 RAMP CLOSURES IN EFFECT THROUGH JULY 2

(Roseville, Minn.)The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) has closed the ramp from southbound Highway 169 to Cedar Lake Road and the ramp from southbound Highway 169 to W. 16th St. in Minnetonka.

In addition, the ramps from W. 16th St. to southbound Highway 169 and the ramps from northbound Highway 169 to the frontage road servicing 23rd St. W., 22nd Lane W. and 22nd St. W. and the ramp from northbound Highway 169 to W. 16th St. are closed.

These ramp closures are necessary as crews replace the median barrier between northbound Highway 169 and southbound Highway 169 from I-394 to Cedar Lake Road as part of the larger Highway 169 northbound and southbound shoulder rehabilitation project from I-694 to I-494.

Southbound Highway 169 motorists seeking access to eastbound or westbound Cedar Lake Road must exit at Minnetonka Blvd., return to northbound Highway 169 and exit at Cedar Lake Rd. Mn/DOT advises motorists to seek alternate routes during these ramp closures.

Weather permitting, Mn/DOT expects the ramps to re-open by July 2, 2002.

Mn/DOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN in work zones and NEVER enter roadways that have been blocked with barriers or cones. Please join us in a safety partnership.
