INTERSTATE 35W RESURFACING CONTINUES THROUGH WEEKEND
ON SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE

(Roseville, Minn.) - Resurfacing of the southbound lanes of Interstate 35W between Lake Drive (Anoka County Road 23) in Blaine and Highway 36 in Roseville will continue this weekend. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane on southbound I-35W 24 hours a day. The interstate will close each night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning between I-694 and Highway 36. During the closure, traffic will detour on I-694 to Snelling Avenue and west to I-35W.

Weather permitting, resurfacing work should be completed this weekend. If resurfacing is not done by Sunday morning, May 12, work will be halted and all lanes will be open for Mother's Day and fishing opener travel. If necessary, work would then resume at 9 a.m. on Monday. Motorists may encounter minor delays as striping and cleanup work is finished next week.
