LOOP CLOSURE PLANNED FOR INTERSTATE 494 AND HIGHWAY 5 IN EDEN PRAIRIE

(Roseville, Minn.) -- Beginning Wednesday, June 21, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will close the loops from southbound Interstate 494 to eastbound Highway 5 and the westbound Highway 5 to southbound Interstate 494 in Eden Prairie to allow crews to reconstruct bridges and interchange loops.

Motorists should watch for signed detours. Access to local businesses will be maintained.

Weather permitting, this work should be completed by mid-July, 2000.

Mn/DOT asks motorists to join in a safety partnership and drive with caution in work zones, allow for extra time or plan an alternate route to reach their destinations.
