CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES ON THE 610 CORRIDOR (Roseville, Minn.) -- Beginning Monday, June 5, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) will start grading, surfacing, and widening of six bridges on the 610 Corridor from the Mississippi River to Coon Rapids Boulevard in Coon Rapids. Motorists will be restricted to two lanes in each direction with non-rush hour daytime, night and weekend closures. East River Road and Coon Rapids Boulevard will also have non-rush hour daytime lane closures. Full ramps closures will be in place during non-rush hours in the areas where crews are working. Construction costs for this project is $4.2 million dollars. Approximately 62,00 cars a day are on this portion of the roadway. Weather permitting, this project will be completed by November 1, 2000. Mn/DOT asks motorists to join in a safety partnership and drive with caution in work zones, allow for extra time or plan an alternate route to reach their destinations.
