WEEKEND RAMP CLOSURE SET FOR INTERSTATE 35W AND 66TH STREET IN RICHFIELD (Roseville, Minn.) - The ramp from 66th Street to Interstate 35W in Richfield will close at 2 a.m. Saturday morning, May 20th, to allow crews from Northern States Power to relocate an underground electric transmission line in the area. If work goes as planned, the ramp will reopen to traffic by 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 21st. The power line is being moved in advance of work to rebuild the southbound I-35W bridge over 66th Street. Reconstruction of the southbound bridge begins this summer after the northbound bridge is finished and opened. Traffic will still be able to use 66th Street beneath the I-35W bridge. However, motorists are encouraged to avoid 66th Street and use alternate routes to reach the southbound interstate. We're in the Work Zone Together |
