76th STREET RAMP TO NORTHBOUND INTERSTATE 35W
CLOSES TUESDAY NIGHT FOR CONTINUED RECONSTRUCTION  OF I-35W

(Roseville, Minn.) -
Northbound Interstate 35W traffic will be shifted onto a bypass on the southbound lanes of the interstate in Richfield beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday night, March 21st as reconstruction of I-35W in Richfield continues this year. At the same time, the ramp from 76th Street to northbound I-35W will close. Reconstruction of the interstate and construction of a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane began last summer between 66th Street and 76th Street in Richfield.

Motorists on the interstate should watch for narrow lanes and no shoulders along with occasional night time lane closures. During this stage of work, traffic on the southbound interstate will not be affected. However, both north and southbound traffic will be restricted to two lanes in each direction until late fall.

Following completion of the northbound lanes in mid-summer, all traffic will be shifted onto the new northbound lanes as reconstruction of the southbound lanes begins. Weather permitting, work will be completed by late this fall.
