The Interstate's 50th Anniversary

June 29, 2006 marked the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Federal Highway Act of 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Mn/DOT, together with other state DOTs and AASHTO, commemorated the anniversary of what is considered our nation's greatest public works project.
