Project Description
The SCorE Backbone Extension project uses and extends existing connect Minnesota conduit along the I-94 corridor between Trunk Highway 101 in Rogers to Trunk Highway 15 in St. Cloud allowing a low-cost extension of the communications and data fiber optic. It will move all traffic management and data infrastructure that is currently on I-94 to the fiber.
This will allow MnDOT to put in new technologies and innovative projects along the corridor and provide travelers with information that includes advance warning of work zone activities and traffic incidents. It will also alleviate poor performing wireless devices, increase performance and raise reliability.
