Project Description
DARTS was the test site for an USDOT field operational test designed to measure the benefits of advanced technologies to Para-transit service providers. Computer assisted dispatch and scheduling using the Trapeze Quo Vadis software was installed. Mobile Data Terminals and Automatic Vehicle Location devices were installed.
With these technologies, DARTS more effectively interfaced with the fixed route systems operated by Metro Transit and Minnesota Valley Transit Authority and developed additional capacity by becoming more efficient. |
