I-90 and I-94 Gate Closure Evaluation - Phase I

Project Description

The objective of this evaluation was to determine possible ITS solutions in the closing of I-90 and I-94.  The purpose of the gate closure operation project was to install permanent gates along the two corridors of I-90 and I-94 to guide traffic off the interstate and prohibit access during threatening situations.  The gate closure operation evaluation identified the expectations for gate operation and current operation concerns and issues such as communications, safety, command, and control.
