Finishing work begins Monday, April 1, 2019, as crews remove snow and complete prep work.
Temporary traffic signals will be removed beginning Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Installation of the permanent signals was postponed from last fall due to a delay in getting the three new signals fabricated.
Installation of the three new signal systems will take approximately three weeks and be completed using intermittent lane closures.
Four-way stops will be located at the intersections of Hwy 19 and DeKalb St. and Hwy 19 and Swain St. until the new signals are in place.
The concrete sidewalks near North Swain Street will be poured in spring when the ground thaws. They are currently filled with gravel.
Permanent pavement striping and markings will be installed in spring when the ground thaws.
