Project summary
The Highway 212 project began on May 23, 2011. The project was designed to reduce future maintenance costs, improve pavement strength and durability, and enance safety for the traveling public. The project was delayed on July 1, 2011, due to the state government shutdown. The contractor resumed work on July 27, 2011, after the shutdown and by adding staff and equipment, was able to finish the project this year.
The road opened on November 4, 2011.
The 28.3 mile resurfacing project was located from 480 feet east of Renville County Road 16 near Hector to west junction Hwy 22
