HIGHWAY 212 DETOURED EAST OF GRANITE FALLS
DURING RAILROAD CROSSING REPAIR
MOTORISTS REMINDED TO USE DETOUR

Willmar, Minn. B

Willmar, Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today that U.S. Highway 212 east of Granite Falls will be closed to traffic beginning Wednesday (November 10) until approximately November 24 during a railroad crossing improvement project at the NSP Plant.

A partnership between Mn/DOT and NSP has resulted in a plan to make much needed improvements at the NSP plant railroad crossing. Plans call to replace the rubber crossing with concrete and repaving a portion of the approaching highway.

Minnesota Railroad Service, Inc., Lakeville, Minn., and Fagen, Inc., Granite Falls, Minn., will complete the $88,120 project.

The detour route will be via Yellow Medicine County Road 22, Chippewa C.R. 5, C.R. 38, and T.H. 23.

Mn/DOT and NSP thank motorists, businesses and local residents for their cooperation and patience during the project.
