MN/DOT ANNOUNCES HIGHWAY 7 PAVING SCHEDULE IN THE CITY OF HUTCHINSONWillmar, Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation, Hutchinson office, announced that concrete paving on Highway 7 began last week. The following paving is scheduled this week: Paving beginning at the junction of future Highway 22 near Simonson Lumber to just west of County Road 4 should be completed this week. Paving in the urban area from 5th Ave. through the Hutchinson Technical entrance should be completed in the next two weeks, weather permitting. MN/DOT asks that local traffic going to and from the businesses along Highway 7 in Hutchinson cooperate; access will continue in to the businesses, but there will be delays and congestion. Consider using alternate routes to get around the construction. Vehicles using 2nd Ave. SE or 5th Ave. SE to reach Michigan St. will avoid the bottleneck at the intersection of 5th Ave. NE and Highway 7. MN/DOT Project Manager, Gene Setrum, thanks motorists and area residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation during this project. He asks motorists and businesses to be patient a little longer while the concrete cures over the next few weeks and the road can be reopened within the city. See ORANGE.
