Final no travel advisory lifted in southwest MN
WILLMAR, Minn. — (1:45 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has lifted the final no travel advisory from state highways in southwest Minnesota. U.S. Highway 75 from Ivanhoe to Canby has been upgraded to snow- and ice-covered.
Motorists should use caution if traveling today as roads are slippery with compacted snow and ice. Snowplows are out and crews continue to clear and treat roads throughout the area.
The public can view winter road conditions from plow cameras available through the 511mn.org website. Please note that not all plows have cameras. Road conditions on major highways can also be viewed through the Road Weather Information System (RWIS), which is also part of 511.
