WILLMAR, Minn. — The Hwy 212 project from Montevideo to Granite Falls is scheduled to begin Monday, July 9, 2018. The project includes the resurfacing of Hwy 212 from the intersection of Hwy 29 in Montevideo to just east of the west junction of Hwy 67 (west end of bridge) by Granite Falls. Culverts along the project area will be replaced and/or will receive new liners.

The total project area is approximately 12 miles in length. Work will not require a detour, but will be completed under traffic utilizing alternating lane closures. Motorists should anticipate short delays.

Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface and improved drainage. The project cost is estimated at $3.6 million and is anticipated to be complete by the end of October. Duininck Inc. is the contractor on the project.
