Hwy 19 and Hwy 68 bridge projects in Marshall complete

WILLMAR, Minn. — The Hwy 19 and Hwy 68 bridge projects in Marshall are complete and all detours have been removed. Both bridges are open to traffic.

The Hwy 19 bridge project involved the preservation of a historic bridge on Hwy 19. The sidewalk was upgraded to meet modern Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. Work began April 30 and was completed June 29. The historic lighting is expected to be installed next spring. The remainder of the work will not impact traffic. Benefits include a smoother surface, enhanced safety, compliance with ADA standards, and the preservation of a historic structure. The cost of the project was $660,000. The prime contractor was PCI Roads, LLC.

The Hwy 68 bridge project involved the resurfacing of the bridge on Hwy 68, bridge rail replacement, and end post replacement. Work began April 30 and was completed June 29. Benefits to motorists include a smoother surface and enhanced safety. The cost of the project was $290,000. The prime contractor was PCI Roads, LLC.
