Update on southern Minnesota highway flooding
WILLMAR, Minn. — Recent rains caused flooding on some southern Minnesota highways earlier today. Water has receded and the sections of highway noted below are open to traffic.
- Hwy 30 between Hadley and Lake Wilson
- Hwy 91 near Chandler
- Hwy 267 between Slayton and Iona
The Minnesota Department of Transportation warns motorists that driving through water is dangerous. Vehicles can be swept away in only several inches of moving water. Motorists are encouraged to check 511mn.org for the latest road information.
