MnDOT District 8 releases results of RRFB test survey
WILLMAR, Minn. – MnDOT and the city of Litchfield would like to thank the more than 400 Litchfield residents that took the time to share their opinions on the RRFB test that is taking place at intersection of Highway 12 and 3rd Street in Litchfield.
The traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 12 and 3rd Street was turned off and the Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) was installed on October 24, 2017. The RRFB test will run for 90 days. Public feedback is being sought during the testing period. Information (technical analysis and public feedback) will be presented to the Litchfield City Council in January 2018 after the 90 day test is finished.
MnDOT and the city of Litchfield want residents to know that their comments and concerns have been heard and modifications are being made. A full summary of all results, as well as MnDOT’s responses and intersection modifications, are available on the project webpage at www.dot.state.mn.us/d8/projects/hwy12litchfield.
