Hwy 23 southern passing lanes project complete
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 23 passing lanes (south) project began Monday, May 2 and will be complete by the end of the day today, Tuesday, August 23. The construction of the passing lanes between Russell and Florence started first on May 2. Construction of the passing lanes between Holland and Pipestone began May 9. Both segments required a detour. The passing lane that was constructed south of Ihlen was done under traffic and utilized a flagger with pilot car.
The speed limit between Jasper and Ihlen will be changed back to the posted speed prior to the construction.
Shoulder rumble strips between Jasper and Ihlen will be installed tomorrow, August 24 under traffic. Please continue to drive with caution when workers are present.
