Work on the Nest Lake Bridge starts Monday, August 15

WILLMAR, Minn. –  Grinding (milling of the top surface to reduce sound) and repaving of the Nest Lake Bridge is part of the Highway 9 New London to Sunburg project. 

Work on the Nest Lake Bridge starts Monday, August 15. Highway 23 over the bridge will be restricted from 4-lane to 2-lane, but the bridge will remain open.  

Motorists can anticipate delays during the bridge work.  A four way stop will also be placed at the intersection of North Shore Drive and Highway 23 and Old Mill Road/153rd Avenue and Highway 23.

MnDOT asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones.  Remember orange cones, no phones. Motorists who speed through a work zone or who disobey work zone flaggers face a $300 fine.
