Orange barrels on a highway

Hwy 14 project set to begin Monday, August 1

WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 14 project from the South Dakota state line to Highway 75 in Lake Benton is set to begin Monday, August 1.  The project, which includes resurfacing work, replacement of guardrail, storm sewer work and slope grading will require a short detour.  The short, three week detour, will take motorists on Lincoln CR 1, Lincoln CR 13 and Highway 75.

The detour will be removed for the resurfacing work, which will be done under traffic by alternating lane closures, a flagger and a pilot car.  No overweight or oversize vehicles will be allowed.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution in work zones and to slow down when workers are present.
