There will be no formal presentation, but participants will be able to meet with Minnesota Department of Transportation and contractor staff and give feedback.  Construction is set to begin August 1, 2016.

This project will require a three week detour for storm sewer, guardrail and grading work. The paving portion of the project will be done under traffic utilizing a pilot car and flagger.

The detour route is:

  • From the west – north on Lincoln CR1, east on Lincoln CR 13, south on Highway 74 to Highway 14 in Lake Benton.
  • From the east – north on Highway 75, west on Lincoln CR 13, south on Lincoln CR1 to Highway 14 at the South Dakota border.

This project helps ensure Minnesota’s transportation system will continue to serve the state for many years and includes safety enhancements, smoother road surface and improved drainage beneath the road.  The estimated project cost is $2 million.
