Hwy 12 project set to begin Monday, May 9
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 12 project is set to begin Monday, May 9. This project includes the resurfacing of Highway 12 from Willmar to Atwater, the construction of a left turn lane at the intersection of Highway 12 and Kandiyohi County Road (CSAH) 4 and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) intersection improvements in Atwater.
The project will begin in Atwater with ADA intersection improvements (updating pedestrian crossings, curb cuts and truncated domes) and a hydrant adjustment. For a listing of all intersections receiving updates please visit www.mndot.gov/d8/projects/hwy12willmartoatwater/.
The project will be done under traffic utilizing a flagger with pilot car. Travelers can expect lane closures and short delays. Eastbound traffic will be impacted first. A 10’ width limit will be in effect.
Duininck, Inc. is the contractor on the project.
