UPDATE: Hwy 23 passing lanes project pushed back to Monday, May 2
WILLMAR, Minn. – The Highway 23 passing lanes (south) project start date has been pushed back to Monday, May 2 due to wet weather conditions. The project will require a detour. The construction of the passing lanes between Russell and Florence will start first on May 2. Specifics of the detour are listed below.
The passing lane that is being constructed south of Ihlen will be done under traffic and will utilize a flagger with pilot car. Construction is set to begin in late May/early June.
Detour Routes – Russel to Florence
- Travel south on Hwy 91; west on Hwy 14
Detour Route – Holland to Pipestone
- Travel south on Pipestone County Rd 16; west on Hwy 30
