Maintenance planned for Hwy 67 bridge over the Yellow Medicine River
Traffic will follow signed detour
WILLMAR, Minn. –Motorists traveling Hwy 67 over the Yellow Medicine River between Echo and Granite Falls will encounter a detour on Thursday, June 5 beginning at 9:00 a.m. as crews work on the bridge. The bridge will be closed to traffic until approximately 5:00 p.m.
Motorists will follow a signed detour.
The bridge work will not affect the Hwy 67 resurfacing project that began on May 19. That project consists of a bituminous overlay, aggregate shouldering and lining of culvert pipes. Traffic is being directed through that work zone by flaggers and a pilot car.
The resurfacing project is scheduled to be completed by mid-June, weather permitting.
These projects help to ensure that MnDOT’s transportation system will continue to serve the state for many years.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution in a work zone and reminds them never to enter a roadway that has been blocked with barricades or cones.
