Resurfacing of Hwy 40 from east of Hwy 277 to Kandiyohi County Road 5 begins June 4
WILLMAR, Minn. - Motorists traveling on Hwy 40 from 2.5 miles east of Hwy 277 to Kandiyohi County Road 5 in Willmar may encounter minor delays beginning Wednesday, June 4, while crews resurface the road.
The project consists of a bituminous overlay. Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car.
Duininck Inc. of Prinsburg, MN is the prime contractor for this $3.8M project. This stage of the project, which will eventually overlay Hwy 40 to Milan is scheduled to be completed by June 20.
With this project, MnDOT is working to enhance an efficient and effective transportation system and ensure that the transportation system will continue to serve the state for many years.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution in a work zone and reminds them never to enter a roadway that has been blocked with barricades or cones.
