Revised Start Date: Resurfacing of Hwy 67 from Yellow Medicine County Road B1 to Echo begins May 19


WILLMAR, Minn. –Motorists traveling on Hwy 67 from one mile south of Yellow Medicine County Road B1 near the Upper Sioux Agency to 4th Avenue in Echo may encounter minor delays beginning Monday, May 19, while crews resurface the road.

The project consists of a bituminous overlay, aggregate shouldering and lining of culvert pipes.  Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car. 

Duininck Inc. of Prinsburg, MN is the prime contractor for this $1.2M project.  The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-June, weather permitting.

With this project, MnDOT is working to enhance an efficient and effective transportation system and ensure that the transportation system with continue to serve the state for many years.      

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution in a work zone and reminds them never to enter a roadway that has been blocked with barricades or cones.
