Hwy 10 fully re-opens near Glyndon for Memorial Day weekend
Construction zone changes to two-way, single-lane traffic after Memorial Day
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – All four lanes of Hwy 10 east of Hwy 9 temporarily have re-opened for the Memorial Day weekend, but traffic will shift again after the holiday.
Crews are replacing the eastbound Hwy 10 bridge over the Buffalo River.
For the past two weeks, they have constructed crossovers in the median. After the Memorial Day holiday, the crossovers will be paved. All traffic will then switch to the north side of Hwy 10 with a single lane of traffic in each direction.
Delays are possible this summer, particularly on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, as people travel between the lakes area and the Fargo-Moorhead area.
All work on the reconstruction project is expected to be complete by August, weather permitting.
When the road work is complete, motorists will notice a newer, safer bridge over the Buffalo River. This project helps ensure MnDOT’s transportation system will continue to serve the state for many years.
