Hwy 212 project update meetings planned


WILLMAR, Minn. – Individuals interested in project updates about the Hwy 212 paving project from Dawson to just west of Lac qui Parle County Road 35 are invited to attend a bi-weekly public information meeting in Dawson beginning on Thursday, May 22, at the Dawson City Hall, 675 Chestnut Street at 10:00 am.

MnDOT staff and representatives from PCI Roads will provide a progress report, plans for upcoming construction activities and answer questions or address concerns.

Work began Monday, May 12 for the Hwy 212 resurfacing project.  The project consists of grading and concrete paving of nine miles of road and consists of a detour.  (Detour map attached).   

With this project, MnDOT is working to preserve an efficient and effective transportation system. 

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution in a work zone and reminds them never to enter a roadway that has been blocked with barricades or cones.
