Public invited to learn more about Hwy 212 resurfacing project on May 8

WILLMAR, Minn. – Area residents, business owners and other interested individuals are invited to attend an open house to learn about traffic changes and other details for a project to resurface Hwy 212 from Dawson to just west of Hwy 59.

The open house will be held Thursday, May 8 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Dawson City Hall, 675 Chestnut Street, Dawson, MN.

Those attending the open house can learn more about the project’s schedule, how it will affect traffic, view a layout of the detour, take home project information and get their questions answered directly from Minnesota Department of Transportation and contractor staff responsible for the project.

The $6 million project is scheduled to begin in mid-May, with an anticipated completion date of August 2014.   When completed in August, the project will provide a smoother road surface.
