Safety project on Hwys 7 and 12 may cause minor traffic delays
WILLMAR, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Hwy 7 from the intersection with Hwy 15 in Hutchinson to the east city limits of Silver Lake will find crews grinding the surface of the roadway in preparation to paint reflective pavement markings beginning Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Once crews have completed this section of the roadway, they will move the pavement grinding and reflective pavement marking operation to Hwy 12 from Darwin to Cokato.
This work is considered a moving operation and may cause minor delays in the area where crews are working. Motorists are advised to slow down and drive with caution through the work zone.
The project is expected to be completed by November 7, weather permitting.
Warning Lights of MN Inc., based in Minneapolis, was awarded this $500,000 safety project.
