Parking on Highway 12 in Litchfield restricted June 25

WILLMAR, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Highway 12 in Litchfield on Tuesday, June 25 will find parking restricted from Commercial Street North to 4th Street.

This restriction will allow contractor crews to pave this portion of downtown in conjunction with the existing three-phased construction project that began earlier this season.

No parking signs will be placed the evening of Monday, June 24 to alert motorists of the parking restriction.

The Highway 12 project began on May 30, 2013 and includes these portions of the roadway:

  • Litchfield to Darwin
  • Highway 22 to Highway 24 near Litchfield
  • Fourth Street to Depot Street in Litchfield

All projects will provide a smoother and safer road surface and be complete at the end of July, weather permitting. Duininck Inc. is the contractor for all three projects, which total $2.28 million.
