Orange barrels on a highway

Public listening session for future Hwy 12 reconstruction set for June 10

Construction near the Hwy 71 Willmar Bypass in summer 2014

WILLMAR, Minn. – The public is invited to ask questions and provide comments about the future Hwy 12 reconstruction project in Willmar, at a public listening session Monday, June 10, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Willmar MnDOT building, 2505 Transportation Road.

Residents and business owners can speak one-on-one with members of the project team to offer comments, questions or issues related to the Hwy 12 reconstruction project in an informal setting. During construction, there will be inconveniences to both mobility and access. This meeting is an opportunity to provide input on the construction impacts and how best to approach the project.

The Hwy 12 reconstruction project is a one-mile, two-stage project that spans a half-mile east and a half-mile west of the Hwy 71 Bypass bridge in Willmar. It will resurface driving lanes, add turning lanes, replace culverts and realign entrances. When construction is complete motorists will experience a safer highway and a smoother ride.
