Hwy 59 in Murray County scheduled to reopen Nov. 5
WILLMAR, Minn. – Motorists will soon be able to use Hwy 59 between Slayton and Valhalla Road as the Hwy reopens to traffic, Monday Nov. 5.
Crews are wrapping up construction and will finish painting roadway markings on Monday afternoon, weather permitting.
The construction on Hwy 59 began on July 9 and included three projects that were combined to reduce the overall impact on motorists and residents by using a single detour. The overall project included resurfacing six miles of pavement near Slayton, repair of 11 miles of concrete roadway near Garvin and the realignment of the junction of Hwy 30 and Hwy 59.
